TAMBOERSKLOOF HOUSE – 2003/2004

A steeply South sloping site, with wonderful mountain and city views, necessitated major excavations and construction of two basement levels as well as substantial garden retaining walls.  An ancient wild olive tree was retained that provides ideal shading from the fierce north-western summer sun.  North and south façades are extensively glazed with cantilevered timber decks and stone-clad terraces linking interiors with the vistas and the private north garden.
